WM1 Flinders Class One in Second Life

Todays class we started looking at Second Life, firstly joining(troubles once again) and then travelling to three different locations and writing reviews.
Once again we saw an interesting range of places.
After this we had a discussion about possible ideas for the town, in particular themes and PODs.
Some ideas;

• Prehistoric
• Cartoon
• Space/Aliens
• Futuristic
• Medieval
• Spanish Colonial
• Historical Tombs
• Graveyard/Spooky
• Get Smart
• Changing Land (Magic Faraway Tree style)
• Depression
• Ghetto
• Gangster
• Underground
• Western
• Ancient Times
• Sudan

Another good idea was to combine several of these themes. The changing land is a great and original idea.
We finished up by building a bucket each, just an introduction to building tools and seeing what people could come up with themselves.
